Sudha Murty (born August 19, 1950) is a distinguished Indian author, philanthropist, educator, and engineer, renowned for her significant contributions to literature and social welfare. 

Early Life and Education:

Born in Shiggaon, Karnataka, Sudha Murty pursued her passion for engineering, becoming the first female engineer hired by TELCO (now Tata Motors). She later completed a master's degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
