About the Author –
Jon Kabat-Zinn is an American professor of medicine, author, and meditation teacher best known for developing Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), a program that combines mindfulness and yoga to reduce stress and promote healing. Born in 1944, he earned a Ph.D. in molecular biology from MIT before turning toward mindfulness and meditation, drawing deeply from Buddhist teachings while presenting them in a secular, science-based context.
