R.L. Stine (Robert Lawrence Stine) is an American author best known for creating the wildly popular Goosebumps series, which has sold over 400 million copies worldwide. Born in 1943 in Ohio, Stine began his career writing humor books before turning to horror fiction for children and teens. Often called the “Stephen King of children’s literature,” his works are known for their spooky but age-appropriate content, cliffhangers, and surprise endings.
