About the Authors: 

Lawrence Anthony was a renowned South African conservationist, environmentalist, and author. He dedicated his life to wildlife preservation, founding The Earth Organization and leading conservation efforts in Africa. Anthony's notable achievements include rescuing the Baghdad Zoo during the Iraq War and establishing wildlife reserves in South Africa. He passed away in 2012, and in a poignant tribute, the elephants he saved reportedly visited his home to mourn his passing. 

Graham Spence is a journalist and author from Zimbabwe. He collaborated with Lawrence Anthony on several books, including The Elephant Whisperer. Spence's writing captures the essence of Anthony's conservation efforts and the profound connections between humans and animals. He continues to write and advocate for wildlife conservation.
