She holds degrees in Science and Law and has trained over 100,000 yoga teachers through her pioneering Householder Yoga Movement, which brings classical yoga into everyday life Under her leadership, the Institute received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Yoga in 2018; she has also received honors such as the Bharat Gaurav Award in the UK Parliament (2019) and the Woman of the Year Award from a U.S. institute. Hansaji is the President of the International Board of Yoga and Chair of the Yoga Certification Committee of the Quality Council of India, and has authored over 100 books, including titles focused on yoga for health, relationships, parenting, and spiritual living
