Book Summary –
Stay Hungry Stay Foolish (published in 2008) is a compelling collection of stories about 25 IIM Ahmedabad graduates who forsook corporate job offers to start their own ventures. These real-life entrepreneurs—such as Sanjeev Bikhchandani (Naukri.com) and R. Subramanian (Subhiksha)—pursued uncertainty with determination, facing failures, obstacles, and unconventional choices while building successful businesses. Organized into categories like “The Believers,” “The Opportunists,” and “The Alternate Visionaries,” the book showcases how passion, grit, and clarity of purpose helped them turn unconventional decisions into transformative successes. Rashmi Bansal’s conversational, accessible writing style makes this narrative both inspiring and practical for aspiring entrepreneurs, especially young readers looking to pursue their own paths beyond traditional placements and salary-driven roles. The book broke new ground in Indian publishing, selling over 300,000 copies and being translated into eight languages.
