Sonic the Hedgehog #210 was released by Archie Comics on March 3, 2010. This issue marks the beginning of the "Home Invasion" storyline, serving as a direct follow-up to the "Iron Dominion" saga.
In the aftermath of the "Iron Dominion" saga, the heroes find themselves in dire straits. Amy Rose, Antoine, and Rotor are among those who have been "legionized," meaning they've been transformed into robotic versions of themselves under the control of the Dark Egg Legion. Despite the overwhelming odds, they continue to resist and fight back against their captors.
Amy, ever the optimist, believes that once they break the Iron Dominion's hold on the four houses, they'll have an easier time. She also holds onto the hope that Sonic will return to lead them to victory. However, their situation becomes even more perilous as they are surrounded by the Yagyu and Dark Egg Legion forces.
Just when it seems all hope is lost, a familiar voice cuts through the tension: "You never could count on that hedgehog..." It's revealed to be Geoffrey St. John, who has returned from a mission and is ready to assist his allies. He uses a flashbomb to disorient the pursuing enemies, allowing the group to retreat to a secret bunker. The bunker entrance is cleverly concealed by a tree stump, a nostalgic touch that Geoffrey remarks upon.
Meanwhile, in the city's Detention Center, Snively visits his uncle, Dr. Eggman, who is presumed to be insane. However, Eggman reveals that he has regained his sanity and has come to a startling conclusion: Sonic is the embodiment of chaos, the very variable that has thwarted his plans time and again. Eggman believes that understanding this will allow him to finally defeat Sonic. Snively, however, is skeptical and dismissive of his uncle's theories.
