An entrepreneur and businesswoman, a journalist and a writer, a Senior Fellow at the University of Oxford with a Ph.D. in business history, Dr Gita Piramal's portfolio life includes primary research areas in Indian business and its history.

In media, Gita conceptualized and created content for CNBC-TV18 programs; scripted, edited, and featured or anchored television documentaries in India and for the BBC besides contributing articles for international and Indian publications.

Earlier, Gita founded The Smart Manager, a management magazine, headed ERGO a furniture manufacturer, was a Director of VIP Luggage, and built and runs a business in real estate A YPO member, Gita is currently a non-executive board member of Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, and Bajaj Holdings & Investments.
