About the author

Shashi Tharoor is an Indian author, politician, and former diplomat, best known for his insightful and eloquent writing on India's history, politics, and social issues. Born on March 9, 1956, in London, Tharoor was raised in India and pursued his education at prestigious institutions, including St. Stephen's College in Delhi and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in the United States. He served as the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations before entering Indian politics as a Member of Parliament.
