Lauren Weisberger is an American author best known for her debut novel The Devil Wears Prada, which was inspired by her real-life experience working as an assistant to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Born in 1977 in Pennsylvania, she graduated from Cornell University and briefly worked in magazine publishing before turning to fiction writing. The Devil Wears Prada became a global bestseller and was adapted into a hugely successful film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
