Rethinking India has been penned in the spirit of reason, a spirit much required in order to counterbalance the clichés regarding India. Reciprocally, the goal was equally to displace the myths and illusions surrounding the archetypal 'America in the Indian psyche, as well. Through meaningful research and observations, Vinay's book hopes to stimulate discussions in both Indian and American boardrooms, as well as, in political and bureaucratic round-tables regarding an imminent Indo-US Partnership Concord. The book bases itself on the premise that in today's economically driven world Team Play and Cooperation will eventually win over Isolation and Divisive Strategies. The time for international gamesmanship, cloak & dagger tactics, hidden agendas, and long protracted negotiations, is over; modern nation-states have neither the time nor the inclination to engage in anachronistic political games.

More than 20 years ago, our former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had envisioned what friendly relations between the two countries could do.
