Mr Nodd, an amateur carpenter, has made a wooden umbrella for his wife, wooden bicycles for Ham and Shem and a wooden romper-suit for little Japhet. He has wood left and decides to build a boat in the garden and so builds his ark. When it is finished, he, his family and an odd assortment of animals, take shelter as the rain starts to pour. But the rain stops, there is no flood and Mr Nodd's family decide that the ark will make a brilliant disco!
