The last volume of Ji Pradhanmantriji has Suryaprakash Singh facing some of his toughest challenges as a statesman, and coming up with the most quixotic of political solutions. The agenda is exciting: the Pradhanmantri has to take a call on the Indo-China train services that are to run through Myanmar, and decide on the exact point on the route where the menu should change over from Indian to Chinese. Meanwhile the Chinese Premier decides to visit India and present the President with a baby elephant; this has to be circumvented somehow since an ongoing anthrax scare has made animal transfers inadvisable. But Suryaprakash's main worries are about the previous Pradhanmantri's incriminating memoirs, which he must somehow stop from being published.

In the course of a few weeks, the Pradhanmantri also has to decide on the question of subsidy to the Sangeet Natak Academy, stand the national education policy on its head, and try to justify why he has authorized tapping the phones of his fellow MPs. In the management of these delicate affairs Suryaprakash is aided as always by Rajnath Mathur, the Cabinet Secretary, and S.K. Kaul, his Private Secretary. Between them the three are able to hold the nation in thrall yet again.

Based on the television series Ji Pradhanmantriji, an adaptation of the immensely popular Yes Prime Minister books, this is a scathingly incisive and witty look at the things that happen in the corridors of power in India.
