Ryuho Okawa was a Japanese spiritual leader, author, and founder of Happy Science (Kōfuku-no-Kagaku), a new religious and spiritual movement established in 1986. Born in 1956 and educated at the University of Tokyo and later in the U.S., Okawa became known for his prolific writings on topics ranging from personal development and success to religion and spirituality. He authored over 1,000 books, many of which became bestsellers in Japan and abroad. His teachings blend elements of Buddhism, Christianity, and new-age philosophy, often focusing on self-empowerment, enlightenment, and global peace.
