Born as Mumtaz Ali Khan in Kerala, India, Sir M. left home at the very young age of nineteen in search of the answers for his deep spiritual questions. And in his journey, he meets his master Maheshwarnath Babaji, with whom he lives for more than three years. His master has made a strong impact on Sri M. Sri M. has travelled to different parts of the world for religious teachings and lectures. He has a deep knowledge of the Upanishads and other Hindu philosophies. He is also the founder of The Satsang Foundation. It is a charitable organization that encourages excellence in education.
About the Authors
Sri M. is an Indian Yogi who was born in Kerala as Mumtaz Ali Khan, and left for the Himalayas at a very young age. He is the founder of The Satsang Foundation. His autobiography is titled Apprenticed to A Himalayan Master – A Yogi’s Autobiography. He has also authored Jewel in the Lotus: Deeper Aspects of Hinduism. Many of his talks are available as audio CDs. Some of them are Collected Talks and Akshara Brahma Yoga.
Patwardhan has translated this autobiography to Marathi. He is an Indian writer and author. The Dynamic Earth System is his other notable work.
