About the Author: 

Sudha Murty is an Indian author, philanthropist, and former chairperson of the Infosys Foundation. Born in 1950 in Shiggaon, Karnataka, she holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science. Her literary works, encompassing adult fiction, children's books, travelogues, and technical books, have been translated into all major Indian languages. Murty's storytelling is celebrated for its simplicity, warmth, and the ability to convey deep moral values. She has been honored with several accolades, including the R.K. Narayan Award for Literature and the Padma Shri.
