Book Summary
The story unfolds across two parallel timelines:
-
1700 BCE – Ancient Harappa: Vivasvan Pujari, a revered priest and warrior, discovers a dark conspiracy within his own family that threatens the very fabric of Harappan society.
-
Present Day: Vidyut Shastri, a Noida-based CEO, is summoned to Banaras to meet his ailing great-grandfather, Dwarka Shastri. Upon arrival, Vidyut learns that he is the prophesied Devta, the reincarnation of Vivasvan Pujari, destined to confront an ancient evil that has resurfaced in modern times .
As Vidyut delves deeper into his ancestral legacy, he faces assassination attempts and uncovers a sinister plot that connects the ancient curse to present-day events. The novel culminates in a cliffhanger, setting the stage for the next book in the series.
