Book Summary
In Five Go to Mystery Moor, the thirteenth book in Enid Blyton's Famous Five series, Julian, Dick, Anne, George (Georgina), and Timmy the dog embark on a thrilling adventure during their summer holidays. They visit Captain Johnson's riding school, where George has a rivalry with Henrietta, a tomboy who prefers to be called "Henry." The children learn about the mysterious Mystery Moor, a desolate area with a dark history involving the Bartle family, who vanished under suspicious circumstances decades ago.
The Famous Five discover that the gypsies camping on the moor are involved in smuggling counterfeit American banknotes dropped by an airplane. The children are captured and held in a cave but are rescued with the help of a gypsy boy named Sniffer and a boy from the riding school, William. The police later uncover the full extent of the smuggling operation, thanks to the Five's bravery and resourcefulness.
