Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel is the seventh book in the popular series by Jeff Kinney. Jeff Kinney is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer, best known for creating the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Born on February 19, 1971, in Fort Washington, Maryland, Kinney originally aspired to be a newspaper cartoonist. However, his big break came with the success of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which was first published online in 2004 before being released in print in 2007. The series quickly became a global phenomenon, praised for its relatable humor and illustrations. Kinney's unique storytelling style—blending simple drawings with witty commentary—has resonated with readers of all ages. In addition to writing, he owns a bookstore called An Unlikely Story in Plainville, Massachusetts, and has been involved in the film adaptations of his books. Kinney’s work has earned him numerous awards and a lasting place in modern children’s literature.
