Jeff Kinney is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer best known for creating the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Born on February 19, 1971, Kinney originally published his books online before turning them into a bestselling print series. His humorous and relatable storytelling, combined with cartoon-style illustrations, has made his books hugely popular with children worldwide. Kinney has won numerous awards and was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people. In addition to writing, he owns a bookstore called An Unlikely Story in Plainville, Massachusetts.
