William D. Watson is an attorney with more than 20 years' experience in negotiating drafting, revising, litigating and arbitrating gas contracts for gas producers. He practices with Holme Roberts & Owen, a Denver firm active in gas marketing. The completeness of this book reflects the author's experience with virtually every type of wellhead sale from regulated, long-term contracts to 30-day spot sales.
He obtained his degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Colorado, American and Federal Energy Bar Associations and a former trustee of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He also serves as Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Public Land and Resources Law Digest and Legal Director of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association.
Watson has published several articles in professional and legal journals and presented papers on gas contract matters to Colorado, Kansas, Texas and Canadian bar associations and other trade groups.
