About the Author

Viswanathan “Raghu” Raghunathan (b. 1954) is a distinguished Indian finance academic, corporate leader, author, and columnist. He served nearly two decades as a Professor of Finance & Accounting at IIM Ahmedabad before moving into the banking sector—leading ING Vysya Bank (2001–2004)—and later serving as CEO of the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. He also held leadership roles in the Schulich School of Business (Hyderabad campus) and has been an adjunct professor at Bocconi University (Milan) and York University’s Schulich School (Toronto). With over 15 books (including this title), more than 600 articles, and a reputation as one of India’s top management thinkers, Raghu blends academic rigor with real-world insight.
