Dronacharya, a prominent character in the epic, The Mahabharata, was the Guru (Teacher) of the Kauravas and Pandavas. He had an affinity towards Arjuna who was his favourite pupil, however during the Mahabharata War, he sided with the Kauravas, as he was loyal to the throne. This book on this great teacher, in whose name the Government of India has instituted an annual award for outstanding coach, depicts the life of Dronacharya supported by colourful illustrations and interesting dialogues. He was so invincible during the Mahabharata war that Yudhishthira had to resort to a white lie, which ultimately led to Dronacharya dropping the weapons and Arjuna killing him.
