The issue of black money is too important to be left to enforcement agencies alone. It is too significant and multifaceted to be reduced merely to a scandal. And yet, the quality of most public debate on black money has done just that. As a result, it has been perceived as an element external to the economy itself. In reality, black money is generated out of our day-to-day economic activities. We seem to miss out on the fact that black money has become as integral to the system as the blood cell is to the body. Owing to this integral nature, black money becomes as dangerous for the economy, as a cancer cell is for the body.
