Eoin Colfer (pronounced “Owen”) is an Irish author, best known for the Artemis Fowl series, which blends fantasy, science fiction, and adventure. He was a schoolteacher before becoming a full-time writer.

He’s written for both children and adults and even penned a sequel to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, titled And Another Thing...
